Bachelor of Music Graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand Graduate majoring in Composition Studies and minoring in Music Research. Music is, and has always been, my passion. I am currently teaching at Louis Nortje Music School in Johannesburg, Gauteng; a position that I have held since July 2018. Outside of teaching I am the drummer and co-producer for Johannesburg-based band 'Up Your Sleeve' (since September 2016). The band has released a single titled low that was entirely self recorded, produced, and mixed by myself and my band mate, which can be found at http://www.******.***/hyperfollow/upyoursleeve/low or any online music streaming platform such as Apple Music and Spotify. I am highly detail orientated and enjoy working with people, however, I am perfectly at home handling complex or time sensitive assignments/projects. I completed a BMus (Honours) with distinction at The University of the Witwatersrand (completed 2019). Through courses at the university I have acquired knowledge and experience working with audio software and hardware including, but not limited to, DAW fluency (Logic, ProTools, Ableton, etc), microphone set up and functionality, studio recording (experience in this realm also gained through personal projects and band settings), audio interface proficiency (I personally own a Zoom R16 audio interface, as well as having used Steinburg, Focusrite, and Behringer multi-channel audio interfaces). Whilst studying I became a member of the Golden Key International Honours Society (since 2017), as well as being the proud recipient of the Abraham & Lipman Bursary for the top achieving student in 3rd year (2018).
