To whom it may concern, My name is Marisa, and I have been teaching English as a Second Language(ESL), abroad for over 7 years. I lived and taught in both South Korea and Taiwan the last 7 years. My professional style is diverse. While I am an organized and focused teacher, I generally adopt a creative approach in my lesson planning. Because I am an approachable person and understand human behavior, I easily establish and maintain an excellent rapport with students, colleagues and just people in general. Given that I have a customer relations background, I find that in dealing with challenging situations it is always important to acknowledge the human element throughout while employing a goal-oriented problem-solving strategy. At the moment I am residing in South Africa and I am eager to build upon my experience abroad and build my presence here as an ESL teacher as well. I find it prudent to start building and online presence as an English Teacher. The hope is to further grow within the profession, and therefore I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills would best meet the needs of an TESL/TEFL online institution. It is therefore with great interest that I am exploring a position as an online TESL/TEFL Teacher. I feel confident that my transferable skill set would be of value and contribute to the development and advancement of TESL/TEFL students worldwide. I have excellent references and will present numerous letters upon your request. Yours faithfully, Marisa van der Merwe
