I grew up during the technology boom of the 1980s and from an early age I enjoy spending time on my dad’s DOS based PC as well as playing games on Atari, Nintendo and Sega. This played an important role in my later interest in Information Technology. After completing Matric, at Kingswood College in Grahamstown, where I was participated in a variety of team and other sports. I moved to Cape Town to gain skills in information technology. I completed a three-year diploma in PC Engineering and Information Technology at Varsity College as well as took part in mountain biking and trail running social events. While being employed, my practical IT knowledge matured and my interest shifted toward, providing software solutions to my colleague’s business problems. Through mentorship and guidance, I furthered my skills by obtaining a Business Analysis Diploma at Faculty Training Institute in Cape Town. Additionally, I completed the Salesforce CRM, ADM201 administrator course and this is where my interest in CRM technology began. The combination of my people skills and IT knowledge led me into a CRM consultancy business. Here my partner and I shared our expertise to various businesses, on new CRM implementation projects or enhancements to their existing CRM system. Since then I have been employed by two other businesses to assist them with CRM related projects as well as other IT related projects. I enjoy the challenge of solving business problems by using these skills. I am passionate about using my business analysis skills to see the benefit a business gains from an implemented software solutions or by designing and building a custom solution. I am easy to get along with, I have an optimistic outlook on life, I am ambitious and have the desire to make a progressive impact for the next company I will be part of. All the best, Marcus Dayton
