I have a Bachelor of Agriculture degree from Fort Hare University, an Honours Degree in Public Administration from Stellenbosch University and Master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Free State. I have more than 25 years working experience of which more than 15 are solid, in-depth management experience. I also worked for FFA Group (Pty) Ltd as an Assistant General Manager responsible for the Working on Fire Programme, an Expanded Public Works Program of the Department of Environmental Affairs. I worked for the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, as an Assistant Director and a Deputy Director before working for Perishable Products Exports Control Board as a Regional Service Manager based in Kempton Park and in Paarl (Western Cape).
