I am Matthew Landsberg, a BEng (Chemical) Engineering graduate from Stellenbosch University. I come from a solid technical background, with a keen interest in business and strategy. I am passionate about current events, finance, the cryptocurrency space, and the impact of social media on the popularity of retail investment. I am proficient in the use of multiple software applications programs and consistently use technical skills to solve problems and design solutions. Currently, I am employed as a Junior Technical Analyst at Watobe, an E-Learning app. I have been working closely with the company CEO as well as the Head of Content. My primary responsibilities include coding PostgreSQL queries to extract raw data from company databases, manipulate and convert the data into useful information used for analytical purposes. I am heavily involved in the company research department. I run the company’s YouTube page and I oversee the formatting and branding of content, as well as uploading content to our various platforms. Secondary responsibilities include providing technical support to both employees and customers. Prior to joining Watobe, I gained professional experience working in a variety of industries, mostly related to my Bachelors’ degree, and am experienced in the management of projects and people. I have a talent for looking at problems from a different perspective, and my degree has provided me with strong analytical capabilities. I am passionate about serving as a proactive team member and adept to working in a team environment, where I can be expected to provide valuable support to other workers. I am confident in my problem-solving skills and can communicate my solutions effectively. I am an excellent report writer, and I am bilingual, and can both speak and write professionally in Afrikaans. I believe my academic background, general knowledge, data science skills and experience with social media make me an excellent candidate. My view is that this position would provide me with the industry experience and technical development I am looking for.
