I am currently unemployed doing part time gigs to generate income. I am a resilient person that is always willing to learn which shows from how I started at TSAFRIKA as a sculler (scullion) to being one of the most hard working chefs at the company. My daily tasks would be, preparing breakfast, creating a vegetarian dish for lunch and a chef special for the day, preparing some of the call order bar ingredients. I would also work at the call order bar where we would make burgers, stir fries, pizzas, quesadillas on request, I would also be doing functions on some days or filling in for our head chef on her off days. This environment prepared me for the rigorous demands of the culinary world, knife skills which are needed on a daily, techniques on how to cook diverse ingredients. I further adapted recipes to work with the ingredients that were on hand.
