Briefly:- Qualified Fitter & Turner, Studied ND Mech Eng, ND Production Management, NHD Management Practice at Vaal University of Technology. Diploma in Project Management and Certificate in Salesmanship from Damelin. Worked in fields of Material Control, Project Planning, Works Scheduling, Estimating, Project Engineering and Sales Engineering at Dorbyl Heavy Engineering, Broderick Engineering and DHE Own Products. Managed the Armscor Project work, G5 & G6. Logistics, Project Estimating and Project Management at Duys Engineers in Pinetown. Built Feed Conveyor Systems at RBCT, Ship loaders in Durban Harbour and much of the Engineered equipment for MOZAL in Maputo when it was built. Managed project material for Chevron in Angola, did all procurement for Facilities Engineering and MCP, managed the Logistics as well as monitoring the Material specification chosen by the engineers. Trained the new engineers on the material used in the Oil and Gas industry. Maintained 14 Lay down areas full of project material and controlled the shipping coordination and cycle counts. Became an advisor to the warehouse on Cycle counts, reorder points, reorder quantity and reorder levels. Worked on JDE and became the go to person on breakdowns. Also used Primavera P6, as a user more than operator. Built a 1800m2 Artisan Training Center in Pemba, Mozambique and installed all the equipment and machinery so that it could be commissioned. Managed the MOZAL Artisan Training Centre for a short while. Built a Bomb proof accommodation complex for NATO in Mogadishu, Somalia. I received many commendations from Chevron for saving millions of USD by utilising surplus material for new projects. When at MOZAL, I had to diffuse a very sensitive international situation between SA Government and Mozambique Government due to the deportation of the previous managers unacceptable racial misbehaviour I am an active Sailor (Hobie 16) and Mountain / Road Cyclist, so fit and active for my age.. I am told I am a very humble person.
