I am a young dynamic lady and former student of the B Tech at the Tshwane University of Technology. I possess a Btech in Electrical Engineering. I would appreciate an opportunity to not only work for but with you. I am a hard worker with lots of creativity who would love the opportunity to work in an exciting environment and learn a lot from my peers and superiors. I believe I will add to the environment not only professionally but also as a family member. My core values include integrity, respect, inclusion and honesty. Over the years, I have learnt a lot from the subjects I studied at school. From ICT Skills, which is a computer skills subject, I have learnt a lot about the Microsoft Office programs, internet and general computer skills, in Electrical Engineering I learnt the principles of electricity and Applied Communication Skills which taught me about the administrative side of things and communication. I have also learnt a lot about my course from my time at Ferrometals. I’ve grasped the importance of the maintenance department in a plant, the importance of finding engineering solutions to equipment failure and balancing admin with actual maintenance. I believe that one learns more about discipline, team work and being competitive from participating and watching sport. These attributes are exactly what I believe set me apart from some of my peers. I also like keeping active and fit with sports. I enjoy working with others in accomplishing tasks and completing projects but I also like to compete with others to ensure that I remain challenged and the cut above the rest. It is also a way to make sure that you keep up with the new advancements. My skills and previous work included: o Data entry (installation figures, property listings, employee clock-ins etc.) o Record clock-in data of employees for payroll monthly o General office management such as ordering stationary, creating filing systems, templates for letters and reports o Organize travel for staff working in the field o Ensure vehicle inspections are conducted by drivers o Arranging both internal and external inventory use o Mounting and installing electrical meters and other electric equipment, such as time clocks, transformers, and circuit breakers, using electrician's hand tools o Adjusting meter box components, such as wires, circuit breakers, setscrews or timing mechanism to conform to specifications o Maintaining the site installation data and compiling Excel reports for the local municipality o Support team manager and perform management duties when manager is absent or out of office o Manage inventories and stock, including keeping detailed records of inventory use and sales, and advising management on ordering where necessary o Financial and managerial administration of planned maintenance projects o Reviewing and auditing planned maintenance schedules using SAP PM o Provide encouragement to artisans, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks o Inspect and test electrical equipment (as per statutory) alongside plant electricians. o Check relays, circuits, and power supplied to panels to detect cause of malfunction and inaccuracy, using hand tools and testing equipment o Conduct Root Cause Failure Analysis on plant equipment and systems. o Compiled Paretos on office and plant equipment to determine monthly costings and identify areas to possibly save costs o Working together with procurement department in sorting spares and rotables required by the plant o Reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure relevance, safety of equipment and protecting operators o Implementing 5S system in the office and workshop o Ensure proper maintenance is conducted during breakdowns o Creating purchase requisitions for planned and unplanned maintenance required in the plant. Compiling tender applications for projects and maintenance costing more than R100000 for approval o Supervising planned maintenance projects during planned shut downs o Communicating with production personnel, contractors and other maintenance staff to discuss project timelines and possible hindrances to ensure successful completion of projects o In preparation for major plant shut downs, I was involved in initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of projects once completed successfully o Conducting and running site meetings with contractors and artisans discussing scopes of work required for projects and liaising with contractors if needed in cases where fabrication of parts is required for projects o Conducted Practical Task Observation’s and Standard Behavioural Observation’s on maintenance work performed in the plant to observe compliance to SOP’s, safety protocols and look for any ways to improve how to conduct the maintenance
