Responsible for the performance in areas as Budgetary, Staff reporting and performance, NCC operational health, customer satisfactions and health and safety participations. Manage the development and implementation of a robust security policy, including identifying and implementing regularly updated security initiatives, guidelines and procedures which ensure the physical safety and well-being of all employees, their families and visitors as well as company facilities, buildings, sites and properties. Security Systems Management Management of National Control Rooms of Vehicle Tracking and Alarm Monitoring and alarm response. Manage SAPO NKP buildings(1832 – Retail, Hubs, Mail Centres, Depots and Area offices) security electronics on Guarding systems, Multiple Cash Protection safes, Cash Protection Devices, CCTVs, Access Controlling and Anti intruder alarms as well as investigations. Develop and manage national SLAs with suppliers and internal stake holders on security electronics. Manage the execution of security vetting practices in consultation with South African State Security Agency and screening by SAPS. Manage and contribute and participate in emergency planning activities and oversee emergency drills and recommendations. Oversee and determine risk management direction and implementation of security technologies in consultation with the market. Identify security risks on all sites, implement and maintain security electronics operational procedures on identified risks and recommend remedial plans. Security Management Manage the delegation and availability of resources applicable to projects. Management of security departmental unit and evaluate continues improvement and appraisal processes. Chair JPC NKP quarterly meetings. Member of SMF NKP. Manage security of Data Centre. Manage NKP security surveys and audits with SAPS NKP and SSA. Manage security training needs of all security personnel on refresher courses and personal developmental skills. Manage overall security electronics sourcing, this include Guarding, Multiple Cash Protection safes, Cash Protection Devices, CCTVs, Access Controlling and Anti intruder alarms nationally. Manage national alarm monitoring and national vehicle tracking and national CCTV surveillance. Security Education and Risk Awareness Training. Identify, develop, implement and manage internal security policy based on MISS and Security plan development. Action recommendations from all BU i.e. EXCO, Audit Committee, Procurement Committee, Risk Committee, NKP, SSA and Dissaster Management. A custodian of Time & Access Management with HR. Manage security related contracts and monitor supplier performance as stipulated in service level agreement / contracts. Building and Facility Management Manage day to day services of building as thus: Healthy and Safety Budgetary. Assets management. Procurement Management. Procurement budget. Sourcing of service providers. Draw SLA with service providers. Provide Data Centre security. Draft evacuation plan and provide evacuation drills. Manage planned maintenance. Ensure the workplace is safe to work at. Monitor statutory regulations, policies and procedures implementation and track adherence. Sourcing Management Member of Bid Evaluation Committee. Develop and review the implementation of an Occupational Health and Safety Policy (OHS) with applicable safety and security legislation. Work closely with OHS and Risk Management departments for information security risk assessment. Organise safety training (OHS, Fire Fighting & First Aid) for protection officers and staff. Enforce OHSA compliance and submit reports to HR, OHS and Tshwane Fire Safety Department. Establishment and maintenance of a security methodology that supports strategic intelligence and analysis, as well as business and competitive intelligence. Conduct risk assessment, threat and investigation analysis and mitigate risks. Maintain database of security breaches. Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation and any other regulatory requirements. Recommending updates and new policies and procedures as deemed necessary. Attend quarterly SMF SOEs meetings. Represent SAPO at SMF/ Security Mangers Forum SOEs meetings. Attend quarterly SOLF/ Security Manager’s Liaison Forum meetings. Meeting with Regional Police Commanders at PROVJOCs and NATJOCs for update on area activities. Hold SABRIC (South African Banking Risk Identification Centre) monthly meetings. Audit all staff access in accordance with their designated areas of work or request to work.
