With a keen interest in technology and having developed strong Advisory, Analytic, Consulting, Research and Audit & Risk skills, has equipped me with the necessary experience to help companies achieve three fundamental business objectives (underpinned by digital): Grow their business, Optimize their operations and/or Protect their digital assets (complying with regulation and best practices). My technical experience encompasses Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Technology Architecture and Enterprise Architecture using frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, CoBIT and KING III. My most recent endeavor is to formulate and execute the strategic agenda for the African ICT Services, Consulting, Strategy, Outsourcing and Implementation Engagements including Business Development and Sales, Human Resources, Project Planning, Customer Relations, and Product and Marketing strategies. Key business activities include Financial and Strategic Planning, Sales Targets and Marketing Budgets, Asset Management, Monitoring P&L and impacts on GL, Stakeholder Management and Staff Management. In addition, I have vast experience in software development particularly around the Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET framework, experience in databases such as SQL Server, MySQL and web design and web development. This technical side, coupled with the business aspects of my experience, makes me a well-rounded ICT Manager and consultant able to adapt to most situations. Much of my consulting and strategy work involves digital topics relevant to how the industry computes today, such as Cloud Computing, Big Data, AI, VR, AR. Robotics, Social Business, Mobility and Cyber Security which are on the forefront of discussion when engaging with C-level executives who want to understand the value of ICT in business today and what benefit it is able to bring to the table around business opportunity and business agility. I have presented in client facing activities, industry events and have facilitated numerous workshops both in Middle East, Southern Africa and in Africa. I have written many industry technology-based articles. I am actively involved in commenting and have been featured in prominent ICT media news such as PowerFM, CNBC Africa, ITWeb, ITWeb Africa, Brainstorm Magazine, ITWeb career magazine, ITWeb Insights, MoneyWeb and TechCentral making me a recognized conference and public speaker to educators, non-profits, businesses and corporations.
