I was recently Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of a small to medium-sized medical products company, with Finance; Marketing and Business Development/Sales accountabilities, together with the Exco team responsible for each of these portfolios, members of which I recruited for suitability in forming my support team. At the same time, I was also a Director of each of the subsidiary companies; while also Acting Group Human Capital Director for the Group of companies under a family Trust. I was a Non-Executive Director on the Boards of the 2 Group of companies. In addition, I have more than 27 years’ experience in the Human Capital professional field, including more than 17 years in various Human Resources Director roles; Shareholder; Board membership and HR professional memberships; Independent Consultant; and a genuine strategic Business Partner, as part of a business development project team presenting to potential clients. This exposure has been across various industries and strong employer brands, including multi-national companies. It has spanned across Sub-Saharan African countries and group of companies, as well as out-of-country reporting lines into Amsterdam; UK and Dubai, in matrix reporting structures, which involved extensive travel, including completing a labour relations analysis of the Sub-Saharan African countries (Mauritius; Cameroon; Ivory Coast; Kenya; Nigeria; Senegal; and Ghana). I have featured in the CEO Magazine’s special edition of Top Businesswomen – 2005; I have been a Finalist in the “Business Services” category of the CEO Magazine’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government – 2007; as well as invited to present on Facilities Management and the Challenges for Enterprise Development at the first Women in Property Summit in Ladysmith, sponsored by the KwaZulu Natal Department of Public Works – 2007. I have an established track record of achieving success within a short period of time. I was nominated for attendance at W.I.N (Women International Network) Conference in Rome, Italy, in October 2011, as a representative for MEMA (Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa countries) HR and recognition as part of Key Talent, within the 1st year of joining a multi-national organisation; as well as later appointed as one of the 3 Directors of the Social and Ethics Committee, in terms of section 43 of the new Companies Act; together with being a Board Member for the South African operation. My professional success has also included establishing CCMA case law relating to union recognition; accountability for improvements on Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) in a few organisations, such as designing a dashboard reporting tool for an organisation with a group of separate legal entities, each with its own stand-alone strong brand in the market and related industries, as well as establishing a Project Team to implement the National Diversity Awareness Roadshows, with special focus on the Disability Disclosures (joint venture with an external organisation), as a contribution to improving the BEE scorecard for a multi-national company; designing and implementing in-house leadership programmes with one of the leading business schools, in line with the designed Skills Development Strategy, for various organisations; implemented job grading and market salary benchmarking, where non-existent; Group HR policies; Employee Assistance Programme; Employee Self-Service Payroll system (electronic payslips and leave application process) and managed Group Payroll to the value of approximately ZAR 250m (as at July 2014). I have launched the Employee Resource Group (South African Women’s Network), in line with the organisation's Global Diversity Program, for a multi-national company; as well as fully transitioned and integrated employees, after various acquisitions, for a number of companies. Most recently, in being assisgned to lead a medical products company, I was part of the team that converted it from a CC to a (Pty) Ltd with the implementation of associated Corporate Governance; Change Management; Turn-Around Business Strategy (5-Year Plan); together with the appointment of my own Exco Team (Chief Commercial Officer; Group C.F.O; and Marketing Director). I have the strength of character and courage of conviction. I am a Certified Coach (Meta-Coaching Methodology); role model; mentor; facilitator; problem solver, who acts with integrity; humility; and respect. I have gained maturity and resilience over the years. I am passionate about strategy; leadership; values and culture; as well as Human Capital partnership at a strategic level. I love finding new ways to grow, be better and ensure an over-achievement of set business goals. This is what gets me up every day. I enjoy taking businesses through the process of growth by drawing on my several years of general Human Resources (HR) or Human Capital experience across various industries, which is an indication of my track record on my ability to understand business in any new industry to which I get exposed, in my line of career. As an executive coach, I help clients find growth, develop their leadership and business capabilities and create sustainable business momentum. In particular, helping leaders unlock their personal passion for people; build their potential; transform their organisation and the world around them.
