I have participated and represent the Human Resources function in addition to coordinating and administering the Human Resources & REMCO as well as the Social and Ethics Committee for the Kwa-Zulu Natal Growth Fund Trust. I am armed with the following qualities, willingness to succeed and work hard, and always set my goals high as this affords me to be good at what I do and also stretches my abilities. I thrive on challenges and looking for new challenges both in my career and personal life. I am a team player and work towards the interest of the team. Amongst my strengths is the ability to see the bigger picture and how the parts fit into the bigger whole. I am passionate about Human resources and driven and motivated by seeing a tangible difference being made in people’s lives particular skills development amongst the youth of this country. To this end, I, in partnership with the KZN Department of Education, have initiated a career day with a focus on the youth that comes from our surrounding communities (Hammarsdale and Inchanga). The aim of the Career day was to introduce them to the textile careers that we offer at Glodina. One cannot overemphasize the impact that skills development can have in particular to our disadvantaged black youths. I am a coach for employees that are doing their Management Development Programme. I recognise the impact that a coach can play in particular to students that are in receipt of the Glodina Educational Assistance. Technical Competencies My areas of expertise include exposure and hands-on experience in the following areas. • Industrial Relations – Wage negotiations, establishing and managing employee representative/ management forums. Training of line management in handling discipline and grievances. Sensitising them to labour law changes. Negotiated concluded and administered a Site Specific Agreement, Recognition Agreement and Collective agreement with several unions. Audit of IR and Human Resources risks and hazards. • Learning and development including talent management – Managing and coordinating the function and ensuring compliance with Skills Development Act and Employment Equity Act, Managing Graduate Bursary Scheme. I have conducted employee perception surveys and have been an Internal Champion for a Diversity programme. I have been involved in the implementation of Organisational Development Interventions (including diversity management and management of transformation) and management of change. Trained in the use of Prosci Change Management model. Translation of the human resources strategy into Learning and Development plans. Management of end to end delivery of leadership development courses • Administration, Compensation and benefits – Job evaluation, salary surveys, salary increases. • Management of the Housing Scheme portfolio, loan administration etc. • Recruitment and Selection. • Employee Welfare and counselling including managing the Employee Wellness Programme • Payroll and Human Resources Administration • Organisational Effectiveness – Performance Management, Organisational design – Writing of job descriptions, job evaluations (can use 2 methodologies i.e Hay Guide Charts as well as Decision Tree); defining and aligning roles, responsibilities and structures. • Budget management – Formulation and tracking of Human Resources budget. • Stakeholder engagement
