Muziwandile has over eight years’ experience as a Java Developer and 2 years of experience in the field of DevOps Engineer in application configurations, code compilation, packaging, building, automating, managing and releasing code from one environment to other and deploying to servers. Over 3 years of overall experience working in DevOps, Big Data and Data Warehouse Technologies. He is accomplished in Jenkins (installing, configuring and maintaining) for continuous integration (CI) and for end to end automation for all build and deployments and creating Jenkins CI pipelines. He has hands on experience in cloud platforms like AWS. Adept in branching, merging and maintaining the versions using SCM tools like Git and GitHub on Windows and Linux platforms. He is experienced in Project Management and issue tracking tool like JIRA. He is also skilled in the creation of Docker containers and Docker consoles for managing the application life cycle. He is adept in creating custom Docker images using Docker file for easier replication of DEV and QA Environments in local machines. He performed and deployed builds for various Environments like QA, Integration, UAT and Production Environments. He holds a ND: IT: Information Systems. He also holds an NC: IT: Systems Development and various other industry recognized technical certificates. He recently completed contract employment at SQS as a Senior Technical Consultant (Academy) on the 30th of August 2019. In his new venture, he has demonstrated hunger and desire to hit the ground running in a brand new role to both himself and the company. His almost instant success has seen SQS increase the number of training boot camps by an additional camp for the international contingent, which translates to unbudgeted profit for the SQS academy. All of the 54 trainees (international and local), 36 of which were on the bench have been placed on client and zero returned to bench thus far, even after their projects were completed for some of them, due mainly to the skill set provided by his training, they have proved versatile enough to join other teams and other billable projects within the same client. He is the sole employee for the SQS internationally currently fulfilling this role of technical trainer for SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) consultants in the SQS academy. Assist with testing; liaise with project management for project status update. His experience in training is coupled with 5 years’ experience in test analysis and management. While he was at GK Software he was involved in several exciting projects for clients (i.e.: WiGroup Integration for wiCode Tender Solutions Project using Spring Framework, Hibernate, JSP, JSTL and Maven • Technical lead in the successful development of WiGroup application for Discovery Miles and eBucks “Mobile Payment” tender. • Participated in training to support, maintain and enhance PoS application with third party software. • Assisted in updating documentation on system topology. • Created new developer environment setup documentation. He was at Bytes Managed Solutions for 4 years as a Java Developer focused mainly on their retail software solutions for their professional services division. He redesigned and implemented a more effective way to train new employees and communicate frequently experienced pitfalls and their resolutions by implementing a wiki page for developers which decreased new employee training time while increasing productivity of senior personnel. At AfriGIS he helped improved the mobile Gautrain application. He was solely responsible for the bus tracking feature on the application as well as front-end user experience. He was also the sole custodian of the company’s client mobile sites (Standard Bank, Edgars and Jet). On several EE projects he was solely accountable for Spring Security implementation. At Working Technologies he finished in the top five students for Systems Development (Java) course. In 2008, he saved CHI Control Components in excess of R 600 000 quoted by an external company to design, develop and maintain their company website. He developed both their intranet and website using Adobe CS. He constantly met and at times exceeded deadlines on all previous companies.
