I am Mzonke Cebisa, I currently reside in Delft in a section known as Leiden and I am 24 years old. I was born in Cofimvaba in the Eastern Cape. My family moved to Cape Town when I was still at a very young age. Through my hard work I was able to get good grades in my final year and I qualified to study for a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of the Western Cape (UWC). I commenced the degree in 2017 and completed it in 2019. Thereafter, I applied to study honours at Rhodes University and I got admitted to study postgraduate in International Relations for the year 2020. I have been fortunate to work with Enkosi foundation as the organiser since 2017. Enkosi Foundation is a community organisation that seeks to uplift young people by keeping them occupied with sports activities. The organisation also continues to educate young people on the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse. We have been able to organise 12 five aside soccer tournaments in the last three year. We have put together a number of fashion shows to help local designers get a platform to showcase their work. Enkosi foundation brought me very close to the people and I have been able to sharpen my communication skills. I also learned the importance of team work, as the organiser, I realised that you might occupy the position but to achieve your goals it is paramount to work with a team. Furthermore, as a political student I have been doing research since the first year of tertiary education. I have done research on multiple questions that required us to gather and interpret information from the media and academic writings. The professionalism that I have shown in my academics proves that I will be suitable for this job. I have passion for researching political issues and it will be visible in my work ethic. I believe in teamwork and I believe people have more similarities than differences. I have used facebook to promote a brand that i created myself MC Clothing, it has gotten much attention in Delft and this was achieved by promoting it on facebook.
