I currently serve as the Chairperson for the South African Institute of Taxation’s(SAIT) steering committee on Business Incentives governing the professionals who support the private sector in accessing the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC’s) R6-billion per annum budget for economic development. My professional experience has been dominated by the oversight of multiple investments and projects in a breadth of industries and jurisdictions harnessing myeducation in finance and economics as well as my local and international networks. I am uniquely qualified in Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) arena being an author to a UNIDO guideline on funding alternative energy, a UN Development Programme accredited Supplier Development consultant and having served on His Highness The Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council for Kenya, Coordinating Committee for South Africa in multiple capacities and experience in B-BBBEE advisory, enterprise and supplier development programme development and ownership structuring. I am currently a Founding Executive Director of Uzenzele Holdings (established in 2010), a professional advisory firm raising capital and developing bankable investment applications to 3rd party funders (private and institutional). I oversee financial, legal, commercial and investment due-diligences for funding applications of businesses and projects which my team prepares. My role as a partner involves the effective analysis of data and information (both quantitative and qualitative), the identification of risks and persuasion of management in risk mitigation in investments. I have a love for continued education and learning - exploring risks and opportunities in business, the world and in society.
