I am a well rounded character with a business management and IT back ground as well as training. I have vast experience in change management which encompasses turning unprofitable business around. I spend a significant amount of time in the different business core and non core functions identifying wastages and areas where the business is bleeding financially. I formulate strategies and review processes to turn these businesses around. my broad experience is in logistics and supply chain management. I have experiences of working with budgets in excess of R25M a year. this encompasses drafting budgets using sound principles with scientific methodologies to justify costs. My area of specialty is reporting to stakeholders on vertical and horizontal variances on budgets against actual costs using a bottom up model and formulating strategies to meet the budgeted for EBIT number. I have over 7 years experience in managing people. This experience covers 360 degree management. thus, upward management (senior manager's expectations), downward (subordinates - motivation and IR) and side-ways (suppliers and clients - sourcing, compliance and billing as well as invoicing). I spent 3 years managing projects for a big bank. these involved space management as well as furniture logistics and asset tagging. I have experience in planning and costing projects, building project teams, setting milestones and implementation as well as reporting back to relevant stakeholders on projects undertaken. My biggest weaknesses are expecting everyone to work at my pace and attentiveness level. This naturally means I end up over working and sometimes not giving enough time for delegated tasks against time I expect results and a response. this is something I am currently working on so as to improve myself.
