Duties and responsibilities ( Reporting to senior Supervisor) Carrying out planned maintenance on production lines equipment, diagnostic checks, routine checks and repair work on plant process equipment including ,overhauling and ,shutdowns. Providing skill and knowledge to the shift team and to support operators, maintenance and problem solving activities of the shift team Machine fault finding and correct responses to machine failure modes. Taking post in maintenance planning meetings, contributing suggestions and clarifying work required. Carry out work during planned maintenance windows in accordance to the planned schedule Routine maintenance; cleaning , lubrication and inspection in accordance to the maintenance schedule. Providing feedback and documentation for all work in progress or completed Hands on and conceptual training of semiskilled workers and apprentices Machine / product changeovers and set ups Basic hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical principles Fitting Maintenance, installation , performing settings, servicing and repair of HIGH SPEED PACKAGING MACHINES Boilers; service, maintenance and repairs (boiler pumps ,valves ,gauge glasses ,stoker ,ID fan ,FD fan ,boiler tubing ,piping system) Service ,maintenance and repair of cooling towers ,grinding meals and heat exchangers Chiller plant installation, fault finding and maintenance Bearings; identification, correct fitment, failure analysis, lubrication and corrective action Gearboxes; service ,maintenance and repairs mainly ;worm reduction, shaft mounted ,helical ,bevel ,offset, and planetary gearboxes Pumps; Service ,maintenance and repairs mainly ;Rotodynamic and positive displacement pumps(centrifugal pumps ,axial flow ,gear ,screw ,peristaltic ,plunger ,vane, diaphragm and gravity pumps) Conveyors ; maintenance, service, installation and repair different types mainly; gravity roller ,belt ,plastic belt ,bucket ,pneumatic ,chain, overhead, screw and spiral conveyors and elevator buckets ,heat exchangers Couplings ; installation ,repairs and maintenance of different types mainly; muff and clamp ,gear ,fluid, bushed pin ,fenner flex couplings ,roller chain and sprocket Vee-belts ;Selection and fitment of Vee belts, alignment and tensioning Machining (Turning) Machining of various mechanical plant spares as per drawing or sample using: Conventional lathe- machining operations such as boring, threading, turning Milling machine- all milling and drilling operations Shaping machine Grinding machine- surface, cylindrical, hand/ angle grinding machines Drilling machines Use of vernier caliper, micrometers, thread pitch gauge, telescopic gauge , dividers and many more Machining operations; parallel turning , taper turning , eccentric turning, thread cutting , boring , drilling and gear cutting Machining castings, impellers , propellers, gland followers , spindles, threads, shafts, bolts, nuts, pins, bushes, truck axles Boring machine horizontal and vertical Basics for CNC Programme
