I am a professional structural engineer with over a decade of work experience. My responsibilities comprise of the financial and technical management of projects. I currently work in the industrial, petrochemical, energy and mining sectors designing non-process infrastructure (warehouses, workshops, substations) and bulk material handling facilities for clients such as SASOL, Exxaro, South32 and Transnet. I have experience in engineering principles, tools and practises with emphasis on reinforced concrete design, structural steel design, construction materials, construction monitoring, quality assurance and quality control. I have worked on projects located in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand as well as projects in Tanzania and the Middle East. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand, I am registered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa and I am also certified as a Project Manager with the Project Management Institute.
