Good Day Madam/Sir I will be admitted as an attorney on 21 October 2020. I have a certificate in AML and I am currently studying towards a post graduate diploma in compliance management at UJ. I have over 17 years of experience as a legal secretary (which includes assisting Executives), personal assistant and legal assistant. I worked at Webber Wentzel from July 2010 to December 2018 with executives of the firm and attending on confidential committee meetings to take minutes etc., leaving to pursue my articles of clerkship. As a candidate attorney I worked in the foreclosure department, working closely with banks and overseeing the institution of legal action against debtors up until obtaining the Rule 46A judgment declaring property executable order. I have also been exposed to commercial litigation, contract & legal drafting, dispute resolution, CDD compliance, ensuring compliance with legislation and monitoring changes to legislation that affect our clients and communication same to them, instructions to Counsel, dispute resolution, registration/de-registration of Trusts; application for the appointment of Liquidator, court appearances to have debt counsellors removed/terminated, debt collecting, compliance with banking laws and NCA, worked on confidential banking legal platform and VDRs etc. I successfully attended and completed law school in June 2018 (attended full time evening classes while working). I completed the attorneys board exams in October 2018. I am a quick and enthusiastic learner with vast exposure within legal environments. I was retrenched during the lockdown, so I do not have to serve any notice periods. I believe I am suitable and qualified for the above position. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any further details and/ or verifying documentation. Kind regards God Bless Nolene (***)-***-****
