I am professional lady with 14 years work experience in the fields of administration. I have 13 years clerical experience. Working at the school has exposed me to different levels of communication. I have been exposed to training interns and new office employees. I can handle pressure very well. I currently work as Administration Clerk and Finance Officer of Masiphumelele High School in Fish Hoek (Cape Town). I work direct with the Principal and the Deputies to ensure smooth running of the school. I update the Principal’s diary, managing his travel arrangements (though this happens occasionally) I arrange transport for learner excursions, I take minutes in meetings. In the years, I’ve become the major part of the school, especially with the finances, I draft budget with the finance committee, I do presentations to the SGB, to the staff at large and to the parents. I’ve been using various software programs, Ms Word – to type letters, memos, minutes and forms, Ms Excel, to type spreadsheets, and financial records, Ms Outlook – to receive and send emails, Ms Powerpoint – to type presentations, Ms Publisher to type programs, year plans and brochures when needed. I’ve also been using different database programs, for learner information, schedules and reports (CEMIS, Master C, Weap, Lazarus, Isams) educator information and leaves, parent information and learner enrolment (CEMIS and HC-LMS). I also use SBM for bank reconciliation, finance reports and budgeting, I do filing, I receive visitors and direct them accordingly, sort the mail, answer and direct calls using a mini-switchboard. I wish to move to Gauteng Province and the reasons are that, my family lives in Gauteng, and I would love to join them or live closer, I would like to grow in my career since being a School Secretary doesn’t have much space for growth, I would like to explore other avenues in Administration, and I believe my experience can come very handy. I am in search of a new position where extensive experience and skill set can be used. I have been exposed to different activities involved in administration and have gained substantial knowledge and experience to perform a more challenging role. I have my own transport, to help me move to where ever I’m needed.
