With just about 13 years of working experience as a highly strategic Human Capital Management professional, I have gained invaluable experience throughout my career that has brought me to this place today of becoming an Industrial Psychologist. I made the conscious decision to become an Industrial Psychologist to assist organisations, employees and executives manage the ever-changing world of people and organisational culture. I believe that my Unique Value Proposition (UVP) sits clearly in my ability to uncover systemic issues within a business through my highly analytical perceptive nature and character. Linked to this UVP is my purpose of creating high performing organisations that focus on their employee engagement strategies that drive collaborative frameworks for success. I have always believed that when Executives pay attention to the voice of its employees and engage them from a place of vulnerability and understanding, you will create an innovative and highly efficient team. I started my career in 2004 where I got introduced to Human Resources at the University of Johannesburg where I worked as a Student Assistant, Data Capture, Invigilator, Tutor and Marker for HR 1 & 2 Exam. I knew then that HR had the strategic positioning to drive business imperatives, and there began my career. I then went on to become an HR Analyst and HR Administrator (Central Demand and Recruitment) at Accenture, a Human Capital Consultant at FNB, Argility (PTY) LTD, and Kaya FM. I then went on to become the National Human Resources Manager for Manpower South Africa, PRIMEDIA Broadcasting in Cape Town, up until my current role as an Industrial Psychology Intern at Kevro. My key areas of specialisation throughout my career have been, Strategic Human Capital Development; Professional Business Partnership Relationship Building; Resourcing; Remuneration, Benchmarks; Payroll and Associated Cost Management; Training and Development; Performance Management and Appraisal; Transformation; Labour Relations; Change Management; HR Administration and HR Reporting Service to mention a few. Coupled with my work experience is my qualifications such as a Master’s in Industrial Psychology from the University of Western Cape, expected to be completed in November 2020; a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Industrial Psychology from the University of Western Cape; a Bachelor of Commerce in Industrial Psychology from the University of Johannesburg and a Foundation Programme in Economic Science Certificate from the University of Johannesburg (Previously Rand Afrikaans University). The qualifications have added to making me a fully competent and capable 360-degree human capital professional who is seeking new opportunities.
