I am a strong willed and ambitious young woman. I was raised in Boksburg and I have two older sisters. I graduated in 2016 with my MBChB and completed internship at Baragwanath Hospital where I learnt the value of working hard and pushing myself beyond mental limitations as well as taking responsibility for patient care. I then went on to do community service at Lenasia South CHC which turned into a hospital a few months in. I obtained my Diploma in HIV management in that year and became more confident managing HIV, trauma as well as medical and obstetric emergencies while learning how to ask for advice and which patients needed transfer to a higher level of care. I am currently working as a medical officer in internal medicine at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital and I have rotated through sub-specialities such as nephrology, cardiology, oncology, infectious diseases, COVID, gastroenterology and endocrinology. I have also done locums in a GP practice and with a mobile GP/emergency practice. I have the necessary insight and knowledge to work in a general practice. I am committed to life long learning and gaining experience to make me a well-rounded medical doctor.
