My experience researching and writing my postgraduate paper titled “Corporate Social Responsibility Disclosure on Competitive Advantage of Telecommunication Industry _ A case study of Airtel Rwanda” has helped me develop and fine-tune the skills necessary for a research position. Specifically, my experience with reviewing literature and writing various academic reports has equipped me with the reading and writing skills needed in research. I am currently a Project Lead on a project that focuses on mental health (Coracle Diagnostic) in South Africa, the project will commence January 2021 and I am part of the research planning team for the project. I have further been accepted as a PhD candidate in Peace Building at the Durban University of Technology (DUT) for the 2021 intake. On the soft skills side, I possess more than 7 years of progressive experience. My professional history includes positions such as Operations Manager, HR & Operations Manager and Human Rights Manager. I have practical experience in managing a team, project planning, implementation of project interventions, coordination of activities, budgeting, report writing, documentation, monitoring & evaluation, facilitating meetings, seminars, and workshops amongst others. My communication skills will also come in handy as I am comfortable in delivering presentations to large groups of people while demonstrating integrity and understanding during interactions with the public.
