Nwabisa Buhle Gqweta is 18 years of age, from a small farm town in the Eastern Cape. Like any other typical “small-town girl” story, Johannesburg has always been a place where my heart resides, carrying with it all my goals and wishes that one day I will not reside in this city but I will be listed amongst the best in International Law and Policy Making. I know that literature and languages is very much so part of this journey and being profilent in this field i need to know as much as i can and literature is the basis of it all. Possibly even the world. My hearts intentions have been clear for a very tender age. Growing up more especially in my high school years I showed leadership skills. I participated in a number of school and community activities that include The President’s Award where I am a Bronx & Silver level holder, Debating Club, Chess Club and most importantly the Head girl of the Student Representative Council. My writer and speaker of the IsiXhosa (Home language), English (2ndHL), Spanish and IsiZulu Language. I am currently doing my first year in a BA Political Philosophy Sciences and International Studies in the University of Pretoria. The decision to choose between Political Studies and Journalism was quite a tough one but i chose both ! because i am multi-facilitated and i am very good at staying organised, focused and keeping record of everything in my life paying each sphere enough attention and doing everything to the best of my abilities while learning something new everyday. This is why i am applying for the Inklings EC Secretary portfolio because i know for sure writing is my skill,i have experience in a secretary portfolio from previous achievements and organisations. Not only that , but marketing skills are also a field of expertise and knowledge for me. In high school i did major in Business Studies and multiple events organisation where i was given responsibilities that dictated me to field of marketing and advertising. I really do hope that Inklings maybe be the place where i start to pave my future and where i get to offer my services and serve this society bringing not only applaudable growth to it but more so more creative minds that can take it to bigger heights.
