I am an Industrial Engineer by profession. I am currently working as a business partner and business analyst for one of the biggest telecommunications companies in the world. This means that I am responsible for 1) ensuring that there are standard processes and procedures to which the business operates according to; 2) managing and accounting for stock (high value) at the warehouse and the regional distribution centres 3) KPI tracking and monitoring to ensure that the warehouse is operating efficiently. Prior to this, I was a Logistics Supervisor responsible for the logistics of all the material entering and exiting the surface and underground mine operation. In my tenure, I managed to break the productivity record (number of trips). Where it all started was in my Graduate Development Programme where I worked in various departments such as Business Improvement (Technology & Innovation), Human Resources and Logistics Office. I excelled in the programme as I scored a 97% in my performance review. I championed and came up with a number of successful initiatives that improved production and gave insight in the business (using data and analytics).
