As proposal/ bid project manager, I help salespeople get on with the business of sales. I am also the linking pin into company to ensure that the proposed solution is deliverable and profitable and has the full backing and buy-in of all the stakeholders. I am an experienced complex bid manager who do not merely manage the proposal/ bid as a project. I always get involved. I draft the executive summary, critique the inputs from the selling team, understand the solution from the perspective of the customer, make sure that the different parts of the proposal integrates and ensure that the sales message is reflected in all the parts of the proposal etc. Currently I am involved in a few interesting opportunities related to the 4th Industrial Revolution, e.g. crypto trading. However, that occupies only a small part of my day and based on my talent, experience and skill, I feel that I can also offer excellence in sales operations and proposal / bid management to fast growing or struggling sales departments. Prior to the current period of my career, I led various units at the South African unit of a multinational German IT services company where I was, at various stages, responsible for all aspects related to company strategy development, review and implementation; companywide performance management, sales strategy development, implementation and control; business operations in sales, lead management, bid management, sales process management, governance, and market research. A BSc degree in Mathematics and MBA from the University of Pretoria, one-on-one executive coaching and participation in the company's leadership program at the Gordon Institute of Business (GIBS) underpins my talents.
