My name is Pako, I started my career as an Oracle Developer in 2007 at a company called 2Cana Solutions in Durban. I currently hold the following qualifications: BSc Degree in Computer Science; Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certificate. I have been an Oracle Developer for 13 years. My last employement was with Standard Bank as a senior Oracle developer in the Central Investment Banking (CIB) division. My role is currently a technical one but had transformed over time to a more managerial one due to my experience at the Bank but at the end I opted back into being fully technical. My duties include but not limited to; - Participate in all agile ceremonies sometimes run them (Refinement, Stand up) - Delivering solutions in an efficient and effective manner; - Development - Unit & Integration testing - Enhancements to existing applications - Presenting releases to the Change Approval board - Production support - Interviewing potential candidates - Perform some of the Release Train Engineer functions - Review peer work Previous employment includes: 2Cana Solutions and Discovery.
