Dear Madam and Sir, I am at my best when a crisis occurs- deadlines, heaps of outstanding work- this is where I excell. However, I work in such a manner that crises should not occur on my watch. I pride myself on getting work done within deadlines, and accurately completed work and projects. My personal philosophy is "If the boat sinks, we will all drown" so I strive to make sure that a business will thrive because I work there. I have a thirst for challenges and nothing satisfies me as much as a heap of work that has been successfully completed. I am self motivated and use my own initiative where necessary. However, while I may spend a paragraph or more listing my personality traits and skills, I would prefer to highlight what benefits I may bring to my working environment that are not included in the summary of a CV. I bring to the company: Measurable results • Increased turnover, profit margins and client satisfaction for the company. • Support and assistance to co-workers and colleagues. • Efficient and accurate working methods. • Streamlined work processes and goal driven planning. • Excellent crisis resolution methods. • Critical view on my own work. Intangible results • A peaceful and productive work environment. • Professional and honest work relationships with client, co-workers, colleagues and suppliers. • Effective and lasting conflict resolutions. • Adaptability. • Transparency and Integrity in all facets of work and professional relationships. • An employee with no personal ambitions beyond performing work task efficiently and accurately. I have worked in various industries and work environments over the years and I bring both maturity and insight from many facets of my previous work life. My personal goals within a work environment include: • Keeping a peaceful working environment. • Productive and efficient days. • Identifying problems and effectively resolving them before a detrimental ripple effect occurs. • Understanding the goals of the company and then streamlining my work to reflect those policies. • Customer satisfaction is paramount, but I believe that the goals of the company need to be addressed at all times within the framework of keeping a client or customer happy. • Handling the reputation of the company as if it were to reflect my own. • Ensuring that all other employees and colleagues are in a position to provide the same level of effort and competence to their work as I can. That means that I will provide assistance where needed, advice when required, physical and mental support as much as I can. However, I do not impose my own working style onto existing employees, nor will I undermine the work of others. • Direct and accurate communication with my co-workers. • I promote integrity and honesty in all facets of my work. • I build (work methods, relationships and systems), so that colleagues may understand and use these in turn. • I believe in leaving a legacy, even be it something so small as an easy filing system and at the very least, a sense of satisfaction that this was a job well done. One would hope that a direct manner of speaking would also lead to brevity. Two pages does not equal a summary, but I thank you for taking the time to peruse this letter. Sincerely Peggy Esterhuizen
