The marine world fascinated me from a young age until it developed into a passion for sailing. This passion brought me to compete in many national and international regattas, as part of the awards-winning Italian sailing team. Overtime, I matured my eagerness in understanding more about technology and related applications in marine constructions which also determined my professional career choice until 2018, when I gained a Master Degree in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture. The completion of my thesis project at the University of Southampton, has been followed by an invaluable working experience, which allowed me to pursue my interests as shipbuilding engineer in a professional environment. During my master course, I had the opportunity to apply my engineering knowledge to a variety of individual and group projects. Within one of these, my team and I managed the structural design and the regulatory intact stability calculations of a 230 m oil tanker ship. The structural calculations were conducted through the application of constructions science, Finite Element Analysis processes and formulas defined by RINA and Bureau Veritas registers. Collaboration and respect among different team members determined the strength and unity of the group. Through the clear division of roles, we were able to successfully reach the goal as a team, in the set time frame. After one year of working experience in the shipbuilding field, I became aware that my strongest interest goes to a hands-on, dynamic position within an international environment. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration
