I held an Acting position of Project Manager & assisting the current Lead Planner with daily management of for all CAPEX Port equipment/infrastructure related projects within Transnet Port Terminals. Overall a total of 6 years’ experience in the planning and management of capital investment projects resulting in the modernisation and expansion of the port, rail and pipeline network, and operations in South Africa. The projects I have worked on are divided into major market sectors, namely containers, bulk, break bulk and automotive. I thoroughly enjoy the challenges that this position provides and have learned a wealth of information in my 6 years of service and counting. My desire to expand my knowledge and experiences into a lead planning role would welcome the opportunity. All my roles have required extensive stakeholder management with internal and external parties. Most of my team management experience has been within multi-faceted environments and where resources are nationally dispersed. I am an advanced user of MS Projects & associated planning tools & techniques and also thoroughly relish the art of performance portfolio reporting which are aligned to PLP methodology. I currently provide monthly presentations to our senior management team on project status, financials and forecasting – these are generally utilising PowerPoint and detailed tracking schedules. Naturally, this role requires the ability to exceed expectations through self-motivation and diligence consistently, which coupled with a willingness to continuously improve makes me best suited for the role of Project Planner.
