René has been accountable for the implementation and maintenance of the Aurecon Quality Management System in the greater part of the Gauteng Northern Regions’ business. She has proven competent in conducting construction site audits, materials testing laboratory audits, project audits, drawing audits, microbiological laboratory audits and OHS office audits. She has also participated in Major project audits. Mergers and Acquisitions: René has been the Lead Auditor responsible for mergers between 2009 and 2013 namely: NETGroup Energy Services, Quoin Consulting Engineering and Ninham Shand. She has also brought a project, the Champion Trees of South Africa to Aurecon under the Sustainability umbrella of her Portfolio which has contributed to building Aurecon’s brand and reputation. Major activities have included writing policies and procedures, rolling out and implementing in the business, conducting internal quality audits with a major focus on identifying areas for improvement and measuring compliance, and constantly using the data to measure the effectiveness of the Quality Management Systems. My job has also involved a great deal of independent research, managing sustainability global projects and contributions to our GRI Reporting framework, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills with an understanding in the various engineering industry markets, essential.
