I have more than 23 Years of Investigative work experience ( Senior Management) in The Fraud, corruption, Internal Affairs and forensic fields. was Employed in the Metro Police as an Inspector and Acting Chief Superintendent (Colonel) for 23 years and was in the Internal Affairs Unit and also headed the loss control unit. My duties as an inspector at the Ekurhuleni included conducting investigations based on complaints received, partake in specialized projects during/after official work hours with the Chief of Police, administration work in terms of the drafting charge sheets, preparation of suspensions and per-suspension documentation, acting as Presiding and presenting Officer at disciplinary hearings, liaising with SAPS, Scorpions, Anti-Corruption Unit, Organized Crime etc. As the acting Chief Superintendent I established the Loss Control Unit at the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Council where investigations into fraud, corruption, loss control, thefts, misconducts etc were investigated and a standby service was setup. During my employment as Inspector in the Integrity & Standards Unit I was tasked to investigate any complaints against Metro Police Officers including attending to Metro Police collision scenes to ensure that proper documentation is completed and handed in timorously as well as the drafting of charge sheets and the serving of suspension letters.
