ROBBIE MASON I am a seasoned academic and senior manager in public and private higher education. Positions held as a senior manager in higher education include Director, Deputy Registrar and Registrar. My current position is that of Registrar at the Educor Educational Group, consisting of various educational brands and 25 Campuses. My main responsibility is to ensure legal compliance by Brands and interpretation of educational law and other such as criminal procedure act, consumer protection act, administrate law, legislation by quality assurance bodies. I am also the presiding officer on student disciplinary matters. My fields of expertise within the academic and lecturing fields are enterprise risk management as an essential ingredient of quality assurance, strategic management, marketing, organisational development and change management, conflict resolution, research methodology, knowledge management, educational management, and business process management. Other fields of lecturing for over ten years include research methodology, transportation, logistics and supply chain management and Insurance. I also assisted the Faculty with developing lecturers in different departments in contemporary approaches to effective teaching and learning. I am action and result orientated, managing analytically in terms of identifying explicit and implicit organisational purpose and objectives, facilitating staff to enhanced performance by doing the right things right. For the purposes of continually updating syllabi and short course development, I have been consistently doing research in the field of, inter alia, enterprise risk management. Marketing and strategic management. I am an accredited assessor and moderator for higher education and RPL facilitator. I have served as external examiner for Unisia‘s Business School and for University of Johannesburg. I am currently engaged in a PhD in the field of academic quality through risk management. Risk management is currently being considered worldwide as the future quality management. My experience includes entrepreneurial endeavours, which include being the co-founder member of a private institution of higher education. The basis of my academic knowledge and operational experience is imbedded in strategic management, and other commercial fields, and emanates mainly from being a senior manager and lecturer in higher education, that is, public and private institutions. I have been providing consultation to business executives in training and coaching. I am an accredited higher education assessor and moderator. I am currently serving as the Registrar at the largest private provider of higher education in South Arica. My major responsibilities are, inter alia, the interpretation of higher education legislation and disaster management and business continuation.
