I was always a creative individual, I loved to paint and draw. Creative writing was a guilty pleasure limited to an online journal that I never shared with anyone. One of my favourite (secret) blogs was a piece I wrote about my love-hate relationship with Uber Eats - how my love of doughnuts delivered on demand wasn’t very waist-belt and wallet friendly. I was working as an admin clerk and QMS buyer for a construction company when I entered an in-house blog writing competition. The topic: Culture in the workplace, and the importance thereof. The prize: a silver Kruger Rand and the piece published on the company’s website. A year ago, after completing digital marketing and graphic design courses and taking a three-month break from the procurement industry, I made a decision: no more hesitation—I was finally going to start my own business. Now, I am ready to embrace my inner "girl boss" and rise to the top.
