My name is Robyn Kirk and I have been publishing my work in some capacity for the past 10 years. I earned my undergrad degree from Rhodes University in Politics, Journalism and History from 2010 - 2013 before then completing my honours degree (career entry) in Journalism and Media Studies from Wits University in 2014. My first job was as a communications intern for the MRC/Wits Agincourt Research Unit from March 2015 - April 2016, which taught me to write outside the usual purview of news reporting. I then began my career as a community journalist with the Fourways Review (a Caxton Local Media publication) in July 2016, where I am still currently employed. In this work, I have learned a number of useful skills including time management, different writing styles, photography, video production, research and networking skills. I have also grown in a professional capacity and learned how to foster positive work relationships, which I believe is one of the keys to doing a job successfully. For more information or if you have any further questions about my skills and experience, please do not hesitate to reach out to me through the channels provided.
