I have over ten years’ combined experience in librarianship, research, knowledge management including evidence uptake in decision making. I have previously worked as an academic librarian, lecturer, information officer, knowledge manager and also as programme manager. Some of the projects I have successfully led include Strengthening Research and Knowledge Systems, supported by the International Network for Advancing Science and Policy, Embedding Rapid Reviews in Health Systems Decision Making in Zimbabwe (ERAZ) supported by World Health Organisation and the Building Capacity to Use Research Evidence supported by UKAID. Coupled to this, I was once the Coordinator for the Zimbabwe College and Research Libraries Consortium, former executive member of the Zimbabwe Library Association and and former board member of the National Library and Documentation Services Council which is an advisory body for the Zimbabwe Minister of Education. My professional objective is to apply his range of skills and knowledge, make a global impact and become a thought leader in the knowledge and technology driven economy that typifies the fourth industrial revolution.
