PROFESSIONAL PROFILE I have a strong affinity for the hospitality industry. As a trained chef, I enjoy both the organizational and the creative part of cuisine. I deliver smooth logistics and satisfied guests! My career path has also given me plenty of experience as general duty manager, in 5 and 4 star establishments, in both South Africa and overseas in Holland and Switzerland. Ensuring quality service important to me. Overseeing and coaching support staff, such as cooks and housekeepers, and directing their daily duties to conform to high standards builds my pride in the industry. Guesthouses and lodges do remain a point of attraction – on the provision that they offer me a position equal to my professional level and reflecting the level of trust and responsibility that my previous positions show. PERSONAL PROFILE Catering comes a long way with me: from early days in my family I picked up the love for it. From assisting my father with his spitbraais when I was still a kid, to throwing elegant dinner parties today, I have widened my experience, obtained relevant qualifications and made sure to learn to manage the ins and outs of the hospitality industry over a wide scope of skills. Beyond my quiet interests - reading, writing poetry and movies - I get involved in community support. I have started recycling projects and have assisted a special school for learners with autism, in Port Elizabeth, with special menus for their hostels.
