I am Sanele Xulu, an Environmentalist by ambitions. I completed my BSc in Life and Environmental Sciences, majoring in Geography, Environmental Management and Energy Studies in 2018 at University of Johannesburg (UJ). I also hold a BSc honours degree in Geography from UJ, majoring in GIS, Strategic Environmental Planning, Philosophy and Energy Technology. My values include self-acknowledgement, self-motivation and resilience. Which ultimately influences me to be a result-driven, optimistic, determined and innovative individual who has acquired numerous skills. Such include: Writing and verbal skills, Computer literate, Leadership and organizational skills, Peer learning facilitation, assessment, development and support, Ability to collaborate and work with people from different backgrounds and in a fast pace environment, Commitment, Goal orientated and ability to go extra mile in achieving set goals, Research skills, GIS data acquisition, manipulation and analysis skills. I uphold good conduct, morals, ethics and behaviour and my main focus is rendering the highest level of professionalism in making every business project a success. Moreover, I am an individual who works towards ensuring efficiency and on-time delivery of projects while also enhancing participation. Having formed part of organisations such as Alliance for Collaboration on Climate & Earth Systems Science (ACCESS) and University of Johannesburg Community Engagement (UJCE) exposed me to projects such as habitable planet studies, education, poverty & hunger, gender equality & empowerment of women, environmental sustainability, health and wellness. I believe this position would provide a great opportunity to further my chosen career. My willingness to work smart and build my skill based will make me a good candidate for the job. My coursework has introduced me to ArcGIS10.6 and field work in environmental impact assessment. The high level of practicality in my course will decrease your required training time because I am well prepared to assist with any fieldwork and any other type of work available.
