My Name is Phelelani Sifundo Ndlovu; I was born on the 2nd of December 1996 in Pietermaritzburg, KZN.i obtained a Diploma in Media Studies from University of Zululand I grew up in a less privileged community called Efaye Location under the traditional leadership of Amabomvu Traditional Authority (Chief Bhekizwe Ngubane). under UMshwathi Local Municipality which is the 2nd largest municipality under UMgungundlovu District Municipality. I started my lower grade at Efaye Primary School and continued with my studies at Tholizwe Secondary School where I finished my matric in 2013. In 2014 I got an opportunity to enroll for the short course at Universal College Outcomes (UCO) for higher certificate In Tourism for a year. In 2015 I was accepted by the University of Zululand to enroll for the National Diploma in Media Studies for 3 years. During my studies I got an opportunity to be a Peer Educator assisting students with cancelling and help the first year with registration during registration. I completed in 2017 and graduated in 2018. In 2016 we registered the Non-Profit Organisation under the Department of social development we named it as Gatsheni Sports Academy, 182-362 NPO to assist our community voluntary. Our main objectives were to assist vulnerable community especial youth through sports, education, arts and culture activities. I was elected as the Chairperson for the Organisation. According to the South African Bill of Rights, which is Chapter 2 of the country’s Constitution specifically, Section 28 of the Bill of Rights states that:" (1) every child has the right to play and to participate in recreational activities. (2) Every child has the right to access to cultural, artistic, scientific and technological activities. "This section recognizes. the importance of play and recreational activities in the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children, and ensures that all children in South Africa have access to these fundamental rights. The South African Bill of Rights is a cornerstone of the country's democracy, and enshrines the fundamental rights and freedoms of all individuals, including children. I am the chairperson, an activist, academic, leader in my community passionate with the community development and human rights for my community. In 2021 at the age of 25 I was nominated as the ward candidate in my ward because young people and all community members trusted my leadership unfortunately I didn’t make it. I am also the founder of the community library called (Efaye Library) and also installed the Wi-Fi so that our community will access a Wi-Fi for free. In January this year we donated more than 200 school shoe in ten schools for back to school campaign.
