Since 2017, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of scholars all over South Africa on their career guidance and personal development journeys. In 2013, I graduated with a BA Psychology (Cum Laude) Degree from Stellenbosch University and proceeded to complete my Post Graduate Certificate in Education while working at St Cyprian's Primary School. In 2015, I completed my Honours in Psychology (Cum Laude) at the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP) and continued my studies in 2016 through Stellenbosch University’s BPsych Equivalent Degree while working for the Department of the Premier Provincial Assessment Centre. In 2017, after registering as an Independent Psychometrist with the HPCSA , I joined MAD Leadership Foundation, an NPO in South Africa that supports hundreds of learners nationwide through a comprehensive scholarship and support programme. For 5 years, I worked in the intakes team focusing on recruitment of scholars as well as in learner development - assisting learners with subject choice guidance and career guidance. I have been able to work with numerous schools, learners and universities across South Africa over the past few years. I aim to focus on learner’s strengths and encourage them to focus on the multi-faceted nature of who they are rather than honing in on one aspect. I take a holistic approach to assessments and career counselling to develop the learner as a whole. In 2019, I completed my Results Based Coaching certification through Neuroleadership Institute and I have found this invaluable in working with scholars. I have also completed training in psycho-educational assessments and work closely with Educational Psychologists to offer a comprehensive service. We support learners in identifying barriers to learning and recommending accommodations/concessions to support them throughout their schooling career.
