Having been exposed to the printing industry since I left school, starting in the binding department, then moved on to the printing machines, Linotype as a typesetter and finally onto computers is multidimensional, with deep understanding of related processes my knowledge of the print and final product. This allows me to look at the end product when starting with a design brief from the client or designer which enables my big-picture approach and my efficient problem-solving. I use Apple Computer software to make sure that printed materials (such as annual reports, leaflets, circulars, books, newspaper adverts, magazines, brochures, etc) are well presented, attractive and easy to read. I love to work smart instead of hard and have good problem solving skills. When needed I can adjust designs as per client or designer, which makes me very flexible, adaptable but also solid in the vision of what is required for the end product. I help the author and designer to create their brands and to tell the stories they most care about and to make the interior of a book as appealing as its cover. On the home front: I am married with 2 sons which are both married and with their own kids. I love cycling and have completed 24 Argus Cycle Tours (now Cape Town City Cycle Tour). Also used to do ballroom and latin competitive dancing and coached a junior soccer team. I live in Stellenbosch and enjoy riding my road bike through the Winelands.
