As a Chemistry and Chemical Engineering student, I have been exposed to and have had to learn a great many different skills ranging from leadership skills to being a more than capable project engineer. I have had part-time positions at an extractive metallurgical engineering company (Multotec Ltd.) where I learned some basic principles in process equipment design, sales management, customer service, and etiquette. I am currently working for an Eskom contractor (Mohahlaula Engineering) in the valve re-installment project aimed at maintaining valves for a unit that includes a boiler and turbine plants during a forced Outage Department shutdown. I am a team player and a dedicated worker in everything project I am a part of. My diverse skills which are highlighted by my work with student leadership structures and teams come in handy in projects that need the co-opting of skills of different individuals. I am a good and strong leader who likes to take as many different perspectives into account before making a decision. I am also not afraid to challenge the status quo for the betterment of the environment and/or the project at hand.
