My name is Sipho Daniel Mdhluli, and I was born and raised in South Africa on the 4th of November 1978. I am currently working for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) as a Principal Researcher responsible for developing and planning energy supply options for different customers ranging from utility/municipal, commercial/industrial, to residential clients. I have over 12 years of experience in the energy sector. I was the leading energy modeler of South Africa’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) on behalf of the Department of Energy, a project which created jobs for South Africans and added more than R’bn 20 to the economy.
