I am equipped me with knowledge and skills on agricultural extension and implementation of strategic agricultural development programs. I possess wealth of experience in extension, coordination and management. Furthermore, My previous responsibilities as a Research Technician at Agricultural Research Council under the Free Range Beef project, has prepared me well for this position. Amongst others, my responsibilities included providing Project Management oversight for Free Range Beef Project in five provinces (Gauteng, Free State , North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga ) under the guidance of a Project Team manager. Develop implementation plan and schedule project activities in line with Project Deliverables/Milestones. Conducting on-farm project visits for data collection plan and administration of questionnaires with farmers. Provide project monitoring and evaluation functions. Compile project evaluation reports for continuous improvement assessment. Coordinating Project Review meetings and information-exchange sessions. I was also involved in Farmer Development Support and Training, wherein I was coordinating farmers’ training on beef cattle production aspects (animal nutrition, Conduct training on veld condition assessment, animal reproduction and health, and provision of livestock production support and advisory services and disseminate technical report to farmers. Arranging awareness workshops for farmers and relevant stakeholders. Information Management Support: Electronic filling of data, preparation of project communication plans and liaising with stakeholders and farmers, communication of relevant project information to the clients and project team members, establishing communication with role players around the food chain, development and maintenance of administrative tasks. collate information for the monthly newsletter and dissemination of newsletter to farmers and stakeholders and generation of reports. My role as an agricultural advisor in the Department of Agriculture Land Reform and Rural Development has further prepared me well to render scientific and technical agricultural extension services to internal and external clients, support the development of research and training activities through utilization of information and communication technology tools, facilitate the implementation of best practices and technologies. Additionally, I have been involved in conducting demonstrations of farming methods to ensure efficient utilization of resources. I am also very good in establishing networks and linkages with relevant stakeholders. My current occupation enables me to fit well for the above mentioned position and I am confident to indicate that having worked for Department of Agriculture Land Reform and Rural Development has further equipped me with knowledge on policy development.
