I firmly believe that a combination of my natural ability, personality, and both theory and practical work experience that make me an ideal candidate for this position. I possess a strong understanding of management, IT equipment, and the day-to-day running of office work. In 2016 during my second year at university, I go for work Integrated learning at Hillcrest library for six weeks. I have gained an insight into the different levels of management (Such as documentation management both traditional & electronic and also library management) as I have been involved in the task of promoting the library both on the electronic method (online) and also in a traditional way of promoting the library such as creating displays, pamphlets, creating the library profile online such as managing online library website and also been involved in customer community service skills. I consistently believe in taking on new challenges and exploring new ingenious in order to improve the way things are running in an organization's efficiency. I have also done my research by working as a Subject Librarian while working at the Durban University of Technology Library and also gained a lot of knowledge from my studies as I am currently holding a National Diploma and Bachelor of Technology Degree in Library and Information Studies at the Durban University of Technology. During my third year of study, I go for three months’ work-integrated learning at Durban University of Technology library, where I gain a lot of knowledge of developing the library in different ways like introducing library in the digital world which makes them give me a one-year contract after my in-service training because of the ability in me and I was also working together with a subject librarian during that time which made me gain a lot of experience in engaging with the student as well as the faculties. Also During my fourth year, this makes me know more about the running and management of the library as I am learning to improve what I know and I also learned more about storing information both in a traditional way and also in the computer systems. I am currently working for the College of Cape Town as an Assistant Librarian (from 2019) whereby I ram running a library in one of their Campuses whereby I also work as a subject librarian because I am the one who advises students on their learning programs and also work together with the program managers in order to make sure that the library provides the exact needs on the right time and to the right people in need. I also pride myself on my organizational and communication skill as I can manage to communicate in three South African languages namely IsiZulu, IsiXhosa, and English.
