My name is Stephen Romanenghi. I am an award-winning copywriter and Creative Director currently based out of the United States. My entire career has been about connecting the emotional to the rational. And, for me, it all begins with storytelling. I love telling stories. I’ve worked at some of the largest (and smallest) agencies in the world. I’m very comfortable being the Grown Up in the room - I’ve presented to CEOs, CMOs, an Army General and the 13-year old nephew of a client’s vendor who had some pretty tough questions about a storyboard. And this is how I work. Someone points out the Rational Destination to me in the distance. Then I pick up an emotional lens, look at it again and figure out which route to take. It could be humor. It could be tear-inducing storytelling. It could be a cold and cynical appeal to the Id. Here’s the thing, though. I don’t care which route we take. And I don’t care if someone on my team comes up with a better route than I do. In fact, I encourage and prefer it. All I care about is that we get there. And that the journey was worth it. The joy is always in the discovery. I’ve been looking for a new challenge and am actively looking for a position in another part of the world. I’ve shot spots in South Africa and I loved my time there. Please take a look at my site to see the routes I’ve taken. I look forward to connecting with you soon.
