I am a Project/Construction/Site and Maintenance manager with solid multi-discipline experience. I have gained and applied my skills across varied industries including pharmaceuticals, Oil and Gas, petrochemical and FMCG environments. I have extensive international exposure having worked in the UK, USA, Europe, Saudi Arabia and in Southern Africa. I have come up through the ranks, affording me above average experience in multidisciplinary design, fabrication and construction lifecycles. Experience includes: Mechanical: Structural Construction: • Cladded structural steel buildings. Pipe bridges, walkways, platforms etc Mechanical Installations: • Static equipment. o Tanks to API 650/653 o Pressure vessels to ASME VIII o LNG Spheres to ASM VIII Div 1 o Process piping to ASME B31.3. o HP steam piping to ASME B31.1 o Hydrocarbon pipelines to ASME B31.4 o GRP pipelines to BS580/BS7159/ISO14692 • Rotating equipment. o Pumps API 610 centrifugal ASME B71.3 centrifugal Hygienic Peristaltic Hygienic lobe Hygienic eccentric screw o Conveyors Belt Bucket Slat Spiral Rotary Bottling Multi head filling o Batch filling units Bottling Ampules Powders o Packaging and labelling o Bagging and palleting o Crushers o Compressors o Rotary screens o Vibration screens o HVAC Domestic/office split and ducted Climate control (Temperature and Humidity controlled) Civil: I have gained solid civil experience from geotechnical studies through site set out and civil construction including structural steel. An example of this is the Sharq 3rd expansion project (2006-2008) in Saudi Arabia where I was Principal Project Engineer for Foster Wheeler. I successfully managed our civil contractor in the building of what was then the largest sea water cooling tower in the world. EC&I: Electrical Installations: 300-132/33/11KVa sub-stations, cable routing, domestic installations. Control and Instrumentation: • PLC – Siemens and Alan Bradley • SCADA – Siemens My project engineering and management experience is very hands on with a no nonsense approach to project budgets, schedules (advanced MS Projects) and quality management. Risk identification, register development and management is also a strength. I am a highly motivated self starter with excellent multi-tasking abilities. At Sasol I managed a portfolio of between 5 and 10 projects simultaneously - Annual budgets between R200 million to R1.8billion I am an excellent communicator with above average reporting and monitoring skills. This includes project progress, cost, schedule (Advanced MS Projects) and risk tracking, as well as contractor performance. I have extensive experience in the selection and management of multi discipline contractors. This includes quality management - ISO9001 Lead Auditor certified. Moreover, I am well versed with JBCC, GCC, NEC3 and FIDIC forms of contract. In addition to the above I am NEBOSH and IOSH certified. This coupled with my ISO 14001 environmental and OSHAS 18001 HSE Auditor certification completes the package WRT the health safety and environmental side of projects.
