“Institutional inexperience for one company is a fresh perspective for another” Have you ever met a BSc(Hons) Bioinformatics holder who has experience in sourcing premium, local CBD, management experience in the development of a Biotech mobile application, experience in sourcing aquaponic next-gen agricultural systems, has articles published on HuffingtonPost SA, and has lived in four countries across two continents? Well now you have, and you should hire him. I have submitted my honours thesis in Bioinformatics after completing a BSc in human physiology, genetics, and psychology (yes, a triple major). But degrees often donʼt count for as much as actual life experience. Being that I am only 23, you can be forgiven for thinking I have little to none. But I have experienced life in four countries: SA, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Comoros (most people have to google where that is) so understanding different cultures is second nature to me. Moreover, in the past year Iʼve sourced local CBD and health goods producers in anticipation of a product launch, helped manage the creation of a novel Biotech mobile app with a local software development company and planned the launch of an aquaponic based agricultural greenhouse on a tropical island. All while completing a postgraduate. Experience is just knowledge on how to do things the same old way they have been done before and that is not the direction a company in 2022 should be going, so hiring someone like me is the best thing to do.
