I worked as a website content writer while I was still pursuing my studies. My work also involved doing event promotions and recruiting potential candidates. I later moved on to join an online publication as their journalist. Through the course of this work I acquired investigative skills, article compilation, editing, profiling and interviewing skills. I then joined Fedhealth that is under Medscheme at the beginning of 2019 as a hospital pre-authorization agent at their inbound call centre. My time there taught me a lot about teamwork, as we had to work together to reach a service level target. I learnt a lot about customer service, creating hospital authorization for patients, doing admin work between calls and obtained vast knowledge about the medical industry (ICD-10 coding, CPT coding and DSM-5)
