I have extensive financial accounting experience in budgeting, monthly financial pack preparation, stock management, Statutory calculations, staff risk assessment & management, audit liaison (local and International), internal auditing, with take-on of liquidated properties (Orion Hotels and Resorts), shut-downs and refurbishments (e.g. the Edward Hotel from 4* to 5*), centralising account structures, implementation of systems and procedures (including subordinate training), and the costing of multi-million dollar projects (including the mobilisation and financial stabilisation thereof). During this overall period, I have also been exposed to numerous accounting packages and systems – from powerful mainframe packages such as AccPac to total spreadsheet driven financials I have recently moved to Jeffrey’s Bay with my three children, with the intention of making a break from the total corporate environment to a more “toned down” atmosphere, whereby family – whether it be at work or at home – becomes my way of life. My hope is to join a company of similar culture with whom I may be given the opportunity to make a difference and be of huge benefit
